In order to complete your international order, please follow these steps:
1. Obtain an international shipping quote from Rail Yard Models based on the kits you would like to purchase. Please send us an e-mail with your list of kits along with your mailing address and we will get a shipping quote to you promptly. Shipping cost for orders weighing up to 4 lbs. will be quoted using United States Post Office "First Class Mail International" rates. The USPS no longer publishes delivery times for this service. Orders over 4 lbs will use "Priority Mail International" rates. If you would like to insure your order, please request postal insurance in your e-mail.
2. Once you have your shipping quote, add the kits you have requested to the shopping cart. When done, come back to this page.
3. The shipping quote will have two values, a total amount and an "Adjustment." Please enter the specified shipping adjustment value using the drop down menu in the International Shipping Adjustment menu below. Once you have selected the proper amount, click the "Add to Cart" button once. The amount selected will be added to the cart total. This value when added to the standard Shipping & Handling charges will equal the total international shipping quote. Be certain the quantity value for the International Shipping Adjustment line is 1.
4. If everything in the shopping cart is correct, click on the "Checkout" button in the shopping cart and complete the transaction.
If you accidentally placed an international order before receiving a postage quote you will be asked to add postage to complete your order. To do this, click the "Make a Donation" button below and enter the requested amount. Don't use the International Postage Adjustment button above, since it uses the shopping cart and an additional postage charge will be added to your amount.
Non-Catalog Purchases
If you have arranged for a special purchase from Rail Yard Models that is not a standard Catalog item, you will be instructed to make the extra payment here. Please select the desired amount in the drop down menu below, then add to cart. It will show up in the cart as "Non-Catalog Purchase".
